A little about me


I’m Cheryl, the heart behind Lady Willow Photography.


As a mother myself, I understand just how quickly these early days pass, and how important it is to hold onto the smallest details — the tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, and the quiet moments in between.


My journey into photography began with a deep love for capturing connection — the kind that isn’t posed or forced, but felt. Over time, that grew into a passion for creating a calm, welcoming space where families can simply slow down and be present with one another.


Every session is approached with patience, care, and a gentle touch, ensuring both you and your baby feel completely at ease.


For me, it’s not just about photographs — it’s about preserving a moment in time that you’ll never get back, in the most beautiful and timeless way possible.

My approach


My sessions are calm, baby-led, and completely relaxed.


There is never any pressure or rush — I allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling so your baby remains comfortable throughout.


I gently guide you where needed, but always focus on natural connection and emotion, creating images that feel timeless rather than overly posed.


Everything within the studio has been carefully chosen to reflect a soft, neutral aesthetic, allowing your baby and your family to remain the true focus of every image.

My home studio has been thoughtfully designed to feel warm, peaceful, and welcoming from the moment you arrive.


With soft lighting, neutral tones, and everything prepared in advance, you can simply relax and enjoy the experience while I take care of the rest.


There is easy parking available, and the studio is easily accessible, making your visit as smooth and stress-free as possible.

FAQ

1. How many images will we receive?

The number of images included depends on the package you choose. Each collection includes a set number of beautifully edited digital images, with the option to purchase additional images, prints, and wall art if you wish.

2. How should we dress for our family session?

Once your session is booked, I’ll guide you through styling and help you choose colours, textures, and outfits that complement both your family and the soft, timeless aesthetic of the studio.

Soft neutrals and gentle earthy tones always photograph beautifully.

3. When is the best time to book a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are best captured within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are still naturally sleepy and curled.

I always recommend booking during pregnancy, ideally after your 20-week scan, so I can reserve space around your due date.

4. Is parking available?

Yes — there is ample parking available directly outside my home, with easy access to the studio through the rear garden.

5. We don’t feel confident in front of the camera — is that okay?

Absolutely.

Most families say this before their session, and I completely understand. My studio is a calm, relaxed space where I gently guide you through natural posing so nothing ever feels forced.

My aim is for you to feel comfortable, confident, and simply enjoy the experience with your family.

6. What happens after booking?

Once you enquire, we’ll choose a date that works beautifully for your family.

A booking fee secures your session, and I’ll then send over your session guide, contract, and styling advice so everything feels effortless leading up to the day.

Before your session, we’ll finalise colours, outfits, and any props or details to create a beautifully cohesive experience.
